Creator picks are boards first. History is optional and uses a topic, not a handle. get_top_trends with type TikTok Trending Hashtags, TikTok Trending Searches, or YouTube Trending. Three lists, three grains

Live snapshot 2026-08-27T18:01:38Z:

  • TikTok Trending Hashtags: movie, tiktokshopbacktoschool, dance, spiderman, ad, football, onthisday, school.
  • YouTube Trending: vamp city, AVENGERS ENDGAME ENCORE TRAILER BREAKDOWN: Did Marvel Re-Color Endgame?, then more title-length rows.

Hashtags are short. YouTube rows are titles. A talent brief that copies a YouTube title into a TikTok shot list will overfit one video. Extract avengers or endgame as the topic, then decide whether the creator can film it this week.

tiktokshopbacktoschool is a commerce tag. It is a pick for a shopping creator, not for a comedy sketch. ad at rank 5 is likely noise. Skip it.

{"mode":"get_top_trends","type":"TikTok Trending Hashtags","sort":"rank_change","window":"7d","limit":15}

Default sort is current rank. rank_change returns movers versus a prior snapshot. Short windows only work on daily feeds. A weekly feed will say so in a note. Use climbers for "who to book this week." Use current rank for "what is already saturated."

Phrase history is a second step. source youtube with keyword ChatGPT on 27 Aug 2026 was 49, +44.12% on 3M, +68.97% on 12M. That is topic demand for explainers, not a creator roster. Book the roster from the boards. YouTube notes: the YouTube guide.
