PPC timing is a short slope on google search. Volume and CPC stay in Keyword Planner and KeywordPlanIdeaService. POST https://api.trendsapi.ai/api with percent_growth ["7D","14D","3M"]. Bid scripts should parse body before they read growth. Presets: the API reference. Search property: the Google Trends guide.
Raise the bid on a short up, not on a year up

Bid check on 27 Aug 2026 for air fryer on google search: 7D −3.45%. 3M −18.84%. A script that keys off the year print (+16.67%) raises spend into a down week. The 7D row is the brake. Leave monthly volume in Planner.
Google's Keyword Planning docs still say avg_monthly_searches is a 12-month average and can miss a spike. The 7D row is the spike check that average cannot see. Cache Planner results. Those services are rate-limited and refresh monthly.
Shopping is a different auction
google shopping for the same phrase: 8 on 22 Aug 2026, 7D +33.33%, 3M −84.31%. Shopping interest jumped this week from a tiny base after a spring cliff. 2026 Shopping guides still state the feed rule: titles and attributes match queries; there is no positive keyword bid list; negatives are the only keyword control. A Search campaign can bid air fryer. A Shopping campaign can only hope the title contains it.
Do not copy a Search bid modifier onto a Shopping campaign because google search moved. Read google shopping for that campaign. Search-versus-Shopping agency notes in 2026 still split brand and research queries onto Search, and visual category queries onto Shopping. This API can score both sources. It cannot place the ad.
